NYTimes -- Lott Often Opposed Measures Identified With Civil Rights
At the end of every Congress, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People publishes a "legislative report card" that grades lawmakers on the percentage of times they were in accordance with the association's position on selected votes. In nearly every year he has been in the Senate, Mr. Lott has been one of the lowest-ranked senators, if not the lowest.
