NYTimes -- Conservatives Are Critical of Their Role in Controversy

Right wing columnists are trying to spread the myth that Democrats are keeping the Lott controversy alive. Nonsense - they want him to stay. He has now promised to be pro-affirmative action and to review judicial nominations for racist bias. It is the conservative Republicans who realize he is a liability and must go.
