NewsMax.com: Inside Cover Story -- Leading Miami Conservative Warns of Bush 'Nightmare'
Right Wing hate machine has an intersting discusion of a Bush Nightmare - Graham and Edwards in 04.
Florida Senator Bob Graham is to George W. Bush as Bill Clinton was to Daddy Bush: a Southern-strategy nightmare, warns Mike Thompson, a prominent Miami conservative activist and top expert on Florida's convoluted political scene.
Thompson sees Florida's senior senator and former governor, a candidate who has racked up a record six straight statewide election victories in his home state, as a dangerous opponent. He says Graham poses the most serious threat to President Bush's re-election chances in 2004.
"With Gore's 2000 bloc of 20 states (including No. 1 California and No. 2 New York) still in the Democrat bag for Election 2004, by winning just one Southern state (his own, No. 4 Florida), Graham would carry the Electoral College.
"Add Edwards' North Carolina, Louisiana, and perhaps Georgia and South Carolina, and Graham has a landslide.
He goes on with his racist nightmare:
"All these southern triumphs will be easier for the Dems because the post-Lott Republicans in their forced attempt to be 'Compassionate' will fall all over themselves trying (and failing) to woo the black vote, thus nullifying Nixon's revolutionary Southern Strategy which gave victory twice to Nixon, twice to Reagan and twice to the Bush family. (With no gains in black precincts and huge losses among conservative white voters staying at home, the tone-deaf GOP will be whistling 'Dixie' as usual, but very much off key.)
There is a bunch of absurd right-wing fantasy later on including an urge to buy his book where he reveals -
How Bill Clinton repeatedly blackmailed Top Cop Janet Reno over her wild private life.
How left-wing gun-grabbers turned England into a land of rampaging criminals - and want America to be the next to fall.
Why our public schools fight the use of booze, tobacco and harmful drugs - but promote deviant sexual activities among students.
That's some high-class smart operative here.
