LA Times Poll - Americans' backing for Bush rises; many might endorse action against Iran or Syria

LA Times -- The survey found Americans experiencing the traditional rally-around-the-flag effect common when troops are first sent into battle: optimism about the country's direction and support for President Bush both soared.

Exactly half said the United States should take military action against Iran if it continues to move toward nuclear-weapon development; 36% disagreed.
