Digested Wall Street Journal - 'Stupid' Intelligence

The Valerie Plame affair has also outed that an increasingly poisonous dispute has broken out between the Bush Administration and career intelligence officials at the CIA and the State Department. At the end, we imagine that the American people will feel safer with the Bush policy of rushing to judgement and aggressive action instead of the professional's policy of cooperation with allies and waiting for concensus on disputed facts.

Here I am trying to strip away the extra words they use and see the truth emerge. Other people have also been doing "shorter XXX". I could have made this shorter but wanted to use the WSJ language as much as possible.

This reminds me of a story in Asimov's Foundation trilogy where after a diplomat left a professor had to parse everything that he said and agreements they signed to find the true meaning.

Judging by what we know now, whose policy makes you feel safer?
