Three years ago I blogged...

About a conservative economist publishing a study that living wages worked. (It is so rare a conservative admits he is wrong that is still news despite conservative economists in the 70's also holding a similar favorable view of minimum and living wages. [Update - he continues to see living wages as causing a slight rise in unemployment but on balance benefiting workers and reducing poverty..

The US back then was also in denial as poverty rises.

Other things I wrote:
Dewhurst the spook, it is pretty much an open secret in political circles but not to the general public that Dewhurst is one of these self-hating gays who craves and gets support from the right-wing Christians. This is Texas, so you don't say those things about Republicans who are not "out". Republicans have run smear campaigns in other elections against Democrats, however.

The gay political groups in Texas avoided making endorsements in his race.

[In 1999 who was urging war with Iraq and to ignore the UN?]: Paul Wolfowitz, today the deputy secretary of defense; Richard Armitage, now deputy secretary of state; Paula Dobriansky, now undersecretary of state for global affairs; Peter Rodman, today the assistant secretary of defense; Richard Perle, current chairman of the Defense Policy Board; Elliott Abrams, now on the president's National Security Council; Zalmay Khalilzad, now the president's special envoy to Afghanistan; and John Bolton, undersecretary of state for arms control and international security.

Oh, and Rumsfeld, too.

And a memo that Bush received forbidding any stock sales in Harken Energy a week before he sold almost a million dollars worth.

and about other things like a bad election prediction...
See, you could have been getting an education from me for years.
