I would think the conservative Wag the Puppy strategy has been very successful. There is almost no coverage now on the economy, the budget debacle and healthcare - all has been consumed by the focus on when the US will attack Iraq.

Jimmy Carter has a terribly damning opinion of this administration. All the major media have mentioned it only as an opposition to a "unilateral war with Iraq." It is a much more damning attack on all aspects of Bush's foreign policy.
