New Blogs by ex-Dean Staff

Mathew Gross

Joe Trippi! also called Change for America. An interesting post I will repeat here:

I took this post from the comments section because it says so much about why people can not give up -- because giving up assures only one thing -- that change will never happen. You want change? Its tough, but you have to keep working for it to get it, and that means getting others to work for it as well.

Here's Ann's comment....

The more blogs I visit the more I see that supporters of every candidate, including Kerry, think their choice is feared by the RNC, the DNC or both. Is it part of trying to determine what went wrong? I think it's important to analyze each candidacy, not just Dean's, to get to the truth. I am (was) a Clark supporter. Because of the Internet, for the first time I was able to feel involved in a campaign. Because of Bush, for the first time I felt I had to do something, anything to see that he wasn't re-elected. It's not been a week yet since Clark dropped out the race and so I'm struggling with apathy toward what can actually be accomplished. Last month I had signed up for a Wellstone workshop and was reconsidering, after all, what changes can I possibly help make while the media monster has so much control? I gave myself a few days to mourn and come to realize that if I go back to where I was, and if others do the same, I can be sure that nothing will change. So, I picked myself up, brushed myself off and I sent my money in for the workshop. I hope this blog will welcome all voices and focus on the common objective of winning the general election.

All voices are welcome here.

Thanks again Ann for saying it so well from the perspective of a Clark supporter. Read the comments.

We're crushed that someone of Howard Dean's caliber was so easily crushed by the establishment Democratic Party, the corporate controlled media, and the Republican Party. If it can happen to him and a movement of 600,000 plus people, is there hope for the future?

Trippi also discusses his compensation from the Dean campaign.

My partner Steve McMahon had handled Governor Dean's media for over 12 years. And Trippi McMahon & Squier were hired as the media firm long before I volunteered to run the campaign when not many would. This is important -- because this fact means that as a 1/3 partner in my firm -- I would have made the $165,000 in 2003 if I had gone golfing in Fiji for the entire year instead of going sleepless in Burlington.

The following also looks like it will keep going no matter what happens to the Dean campaign.

Rapid Response Network.
