I respond to some GOP propaganda email

Typical email GOP propaganda concludes "God forbid, maybe even re-elect George Bush, a nice God fearing Christian bent on protecting us from terrorist attacks on US soil? Hmmm, let's see? Continued freedom under Bush or bombs in our backyard under Kerry."

Gimme a break.

I started a weblog and started calling myself a liberal when I couldn't take any more Bush lies. There are no WMDs, there never were and it was obvious if you researched like I did the summer before the war. Why in England did they publish the analysis of Powell's UN speech (43 provable statements - all exaggerations or inconclusive or subject to different interpretations -and one lie) days after the speech but here in the U.S. we didn't get the first serious US press examination of his claims until six months after the war? They were all false. Why does the press give Bush and company a free ride on known falsehoods?

Here in Pasadena, next to Ellington field, I was told about another veteran of the Texas ANG who served at the same time. He never saw Bush at a meeting. I myself went through the papers the White House released to "prove" he served - the very first paper has an arithmetic mistake for his last year and this with another later paper released proves he did not meet his commitment. I am tired of the lies from that so-called "God fearing Christian."

Less than 10% of Bush tax cuts went to improve the economy, the rest improves the pocketbooks of those who need it least. His dividend tax cut actually hurts the economy by rewarding older slow-growth cash-cow industries at the expense of new modern technological companies that create jobs. But again, it rewards his friends by giving the very rich dividend collectors a lower tax rate than someone making minimum wage.

Bush did not protect us from terrorist attacks on our soil. He was in charge and had "discontinued" the hunt that Clinton had for Osama when 9/11 occurred. His national air national guard commander, who had been awarded with that post after he destroyed Bush's Texas records, had converted Clinton's almost 100 reserve planes ready to fly in 5-15 minutes notice to 15 that were supposed to fly in 15 minutes but couldn't intercept even after 90 minutes.

You ain't rich enough to be a Republican, vote Democratic and stop the unchristian lies and create a fair tax system that values work instead of inheritance.

Thanks are due to Anita for forwarding the email.
