CNN.com - Clinton rallies Democrats
Addressing Democratic leaders for the first time since their midterm election losses, former President Clinton urged the party Tuesday to present a new, unified message with national security and a revived economy as priorities.
When people feel uncertain, they'd rather have somebody that's strong and wrong than somebody who's weak and right," he said.
"We don't have to be more liberal, but we do have to be more relevant in a positive way."
Democrats probably cannot go too far populist, the last President who could be called populist was Truman.
