Is Our Iraq Policy Costing Us Moderates in the Middle East?

While the rout of reformers in the latest Iranian election is blamed on reform failures and low turnout, Iran is the only the latest country where fundamentalists have made strong gains, reversing the trend toward reformers.

If the US wanted to transform the Middle East it would help solve the Palestinian crisis and actually promote democracy instead of pursueing hardline conservative and militant solutions.
