NDOL: The New Bush Doctrine: The Wrong Path to Our Nation's Security by Dianne Finestein

Democrats are beginning to speak out -- this was the wrong path.

This is a done deal - it is unlikely that Bush will get majority support in the Security Council. For the first time I head someone say on television it was because of some nations were in opposition to the US acting in a matter that only the Security Council was legally able to act.

It is now reached the point like in arguing over religions or the Vietnam War, there is a basic disagreement of the facts.

If I felt that Iraq was developing weapons of mass destruction and was in support of terrorist groups aimed at the United States, I would say go ahead, present the case and get support to take him down. If you present some evidence that was occurring I would say go ahead even without support.

They haven't made that case.

When the United States has presented evidence to the inspectors, they have found it was "garbage, garbage, garbage."

Oh well, let's see what happens with 250,000 American troops occupying and ruling a Muslim state of 23 million. Is this a good news / bad news situation? Yeah, we replace a loathsome military dictator, oop's we become the military dictator of an Arab state.
