Donahue had better ratings than the war

Thomas Spencer notes that even with the war MSNBC ratings for Donahues spot is down 20%. I had previously noted he was fired after he had the highest ratings of any show on the struggling news channel. I was not terrifically fond of his show, which seemed very inconsistent in tone and format, but he had the best guests and he could get passionate for liberty and justice.

A media consultant - Republican - advised the network to drop him for his liberal anti-war views. Wow, a news network showing a liberal anti-war hour would have cleaned up in the ratings. The controversy alone would have generated viewers.
