Dozens of Cuban dissidents jailed
The BBC's Stephen Gibbs in Havana says the sentences that are gradually emerging are all severe.
Human rights groups worldwide have condemned the trials, and the US State Department has accused the Cuban Government of using "Stalinist tactics".
These convicted were ones calling for democratic reform. Conservatives in the United States don't see that following Ashcroft we will end up in a state no different than this.
