Top Iraqi Scientist Surrenders, Says No Weapons of Mass Destruction

It is possible that iraq has a limited about of chemicals that could be deadly but everyone involved with the program including people who hated Saddam says all programs ended after Gulf War 1.

Updated, sorry hadn't realized the Washington Post didn't carry his statement after he surrendered that there are no WMD's. The news media who had arranged his surrender carried it on television and I saw him saying this. Here is a German report:

Al-Saadi told ZDF he did not know Saddam's whereabouts and insisted that Iraq did not possess chemical or biological weapons, as alleged by the US and Britain, who have cited that as the main reason for attacking Iraq. He also said he had been honest in his dealings with weapons inspectors and felt in "no way guilty". His surrender appeared to be the first from the group of 55 the United States wants pursued, killed or captured.
