Decadelong control of U.S. House could rest on Texas redistricting


Why this issue won't go away. If DeLay can figure out some plan that succeeds the House might be lost to the Democrats for a long time.

"This is their opportunity to cement their lead in a way that will make the House Republican at least for the decade," said U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Austin. "Very high stakes."

Perhaps not, but possible.
