Salon -- Joe Conason's Journal

To be accused of "hysteria and name-calling" by Robert L. Bartley -- the man who made the Wall Street Journal editorial page disreputable -- is like being called extreme by Tom DeLay.

Bob Woodward (with Colin Powell's help?) exposes Bush's reliance on polling, his close relationship with Fox News and his failure in Afghanistan.

Charlie Rose had a great interview with Woodward. Woodward says an advantage of his book is that unlike getting into Vietnam, people have a record now of what the advisors were saying about the War on Terrorism and going to Iraq. I think his book, the excerpts I read, does indicate an extraordinary amount of hubris in this unelected President.
