LiberalOasis: -- NEWSFLASH -- Second Poll Pegs Bush In The 50s
What Will Media Do?

The latest Ipsos-Reid/Cook Political Report poll -- taken Jan. 7-9 as the stimulus plan was rolled out -- reports that Dubya's approval rating has fallen to 58%.

That's an 8 point drop from his post-election rating in that particular poll.

And it's the second major poll (third if you count ARG) that has Bush in the tepid 50s.

Related, a study on the last election polls found they had the wrong candidate winning 13% of the time and had the average error in the margin of the lead of about 5% - which is probably reasonable.
