HoustonChronicle.com - U.S. offers Turkey $26 billion aid package
The United States is offering Turkey an expanded aid package that includes about $6 billion in grants and up to $20 billion in loan guarantees to secure Ankara's support in a possible invasion of Iraq, sources familiar with the offer said Saturday.
The astounding, unbelievable US deficit this year does not include anything for Iraq. That will be a supplemental bill near the end of the year. By the time you add all the bribes for support it could be an additional $100 billion. This from an administration that is cutiing back non-military programs that have no slack by about 10%.
