Bush Hadn't Asked Turkey For Permission To Use Airspace!

Reuters AlertNet - US discusses overflights with Turkey for Iraq force

"The U.S. has not formally yet asked Turkey about overflight permission or any other related matter, though these matters are under discussion in an exploratory, in an informal way," he said, adding: "We're not there yet."

Logoglu said once an agreement is reached, the Turkish government must seek parliamentary approval. It could be voted on as part of the troop deployment or as a separate measure.

Not only can't we send troops we can use the planes in Turkey and the carriers in the Mediterranean. Perhaps this is just Turkey asking for more money but it should have been locked up months ago. What an incompetent gang of idiots.
