9 Democrats -- 90 Minutes To Introduce Themselves

As President Bush feasts on a bounty of national television coverage, nine Democrats trying to unseat him will scrap for a few crumbs tonight during the first debate of the political season.

Eight months before the first delegates are chosen, 14 months before the Democratic National Convention and 18 months before election day 2004, participants will square off in a debate that will begin to define a wide-open race for the Democratic Party's nomination.
