Republicans are leaving Bush

Indeed, there is a sneaking sense of illegitimacy to the President, as voters snap, one by one, their bond of trust with the President. People are, as one Iowan told me, 'getting tired of his act' - conservatives, moderates, uninterested, the press even. This doesn't mean that Bush will lose; there are powerful forces with a strong interest in his reelection. But it's something I'm noticing, at least in Democratic primary states.
