Paul Krugman - Death by Insurance

Our health care system is driving a growing number of Americans into financial ruin, and in many cases killing them through lack of basic care.

Me - The death of insurance

I think there are good alternatives but wonder if our political system can get to them. Too many rich players with deep pockets don't mind the current system despite what it is doing to the working class. Only when other rich players with deep pockets see a new system that benefits them will there be a change. The growing hope is that some of our largest companies would love it if health care costs for employees and retirees were suddenly removed from their books. Only a war by other businesses against the current health insurance business will create a new system.
