Democrats must stand up for what they believe and toss the political experts who keep losing elections

What Digby says. Whatever Democrats do, whomever we nominate, will be trashed by the Republicans with a generous assist from the media so forget them and be true to our principles. Remember the words of Lincoln, they will only be happy if we completely join them in their dishonor.
Neither let us be slandered from our duty by false accusations against us, nor frightened from it by menaces of destruction to the Government nor of dungeons to ourselves. LET US HAVE FAITH THAT RIGHT MAKES MIGHT, AND IN THAT FAITH, LET US, TO THE END, DARE TO DO OUR DUTY AS WE UNDERSTAND IT.

I am not a fan of the war in Iraq, but you know your country is fighting with us over there right now. Do you really have to run alongside our enemies? And speaking as a young, middle-class American, the GOP is definitely not giving me the shaft. In fact, as a result of the Bush tax cuts, the rich actually bear the highest burden. Pick up a WSJ, if you even know what that is. Oh wow, I just realized something. You are an American! Wow.... Way to link to the UK Guardian paper. Have you forgotten their Ohio election debacle? Because it is fresh in my mind.

The WSJ has great reporters and editors who only come out of the attic for fresh blood.

God, are you so stupid about the tax burden on the rich. Did you ever take a math course or one on statistics?

We won the stupid war in Iraq. We should have left two years ago.
