Tyler Morning Telegraph -- STATE'S VOTER TURNOUT MAY REACH 40 PERCENT

In 1998 the turnout was 32.5%. Wow, this 23% increase is mostly Democratic and the Texas Democratic Party is thinking that the 40% turnout prediction is low. At that rate senate candidate Kirk and lt. Governor candidate Sharp are definitely in and even Sanchez might have a shot at governor. The least important race is governor because of the very weak executive power the position has in Texas.
