Winners and Losers

Big Winner - Kerry, would have been bigger if he had won them all.

Winner - Edwards, big win in South Carolina, competitive in others. the more he can show up on TV the better he does.

Neutral - Clark, Oklahoma showed him at his best. Probably not good enough for him to get any kick out of his showing. He appears to have had favorable press and TV coverage there which has a good deal to do with his win, along with the effort he put there. He really needed more than a pretty close three-way race for first.

Small Loser - Dean, getting votes in single digits in several states hurts. Only picking up some Southwest delegates hurts. Meeting low expectations is the best you can say. Still number two in delegate count. Not the best campaigner even if you feel his position on the issues is best.

Loser - Sharpton, probably had his highest total of the campaign in SC and it was clearly not enough. He has picked up one delegate today, Delaware, and could pick up a few more in some upcoming states..

Big Loser - Kucinich, who? Earlier I thought there were a few states that might elect him a delegate or two under the 15% rule in urban districts. That scenario is fading for the left candidate.

Bigest Loser - Lieberman, just 11 percent of the vote in Delaware, his best state, and he is out.

All-time biggest loser not in the real competition - LaRouche, less than one person in a thousand likes an egotistical, paranoid felon. There is hope for American democracy.
