The Lying Vote Counters - The company that makes most electronic voting machines repeatedly lies. "I was there when they told me I needed 1100 machines for a demo. I thought, 'The trick is coming up with 1100 machines that actually work.'"

It is still not clear if the machines haven't already been tampered with to change results.

A scandal is brewing that may be bigger than Watergate.

Jeb Bush's problems -- There are too few Democrats in the Legislature to matter any more. The Republicans have run out of other people to call names. Now they are turning on each other.

You may not disagree with Gov. Jeb Bush.

No. You may not disagree. You are not permitted.

If you do disagree with Gov. Jeb Bush, then your disagreement is not based on principle.

No. Only the governor has principles.

You do not have any principles.

Your thinking is flawed. Your intellect is poor. Your motives are bad. Your integrity is suspect.

All of this is true even when you are Republican and disagree with the governor.

Continuing Jobless Claims at 20-Year High

While most economists expect the economy to pick up over the remainder of the year after a spiritless start, they warn that labor market conditions may be slower to improve.

Powell: "There was no effort or attempt on the part of the president or anyone else in the administration to mislead or to deceive the American people," Powell said. "The president was presenting what seemed to be a reasonable statement at that time."

I'm sorry, did he say teasonable or reasonable. Powell made over 44 misleading or wrong statements in his UN address including one outright bald-faced lie he has never answered for.

McCain: We Can't Fix It - So Abolish the FCC

Lawmakers including Sens. John McCain and Russell Feingold proposed legislation Thursday that would replace the Federal Election Commission with a new agency.

Democrats taking action

Criticizing Bush

"Now clearly it's time for the president to step forward and tell the truth, that the war is continuing and so are the casualties," said Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts.

"I voted to support the war in Iraq and want to do nothing that appears to undermine our president," said Rep. Eliot Engel, D-New York. "But I feel that I cannot sit idly by and just watch the United States be bogged down in a guerrilla war in Iraq with more and more American casualties every day."

Nancy Pelosi - "What is the postwar Iraq plan? If there is a plan, let's see what it is. If there is a plan, it may need to be revisited because it isn't working."

"Hold George W. Bush accountable," says a DNC ad, which calls for a bipartisan investigation into the pre-war claims.

And Democrats Block Bush Insurance Company Protection Act

Senate Democrats won their fight Wednesday to bottle up legislation limiting damage awards in medical malpractice cases, all but dooming a measure that President Bush made a priority.

The vote was 49-48, 11 short of the 60 needed to overcome the Democratic-led filibuster.

"Time and time again this Senate races to protect special interest groups and forgets the families and children and elderly people across America who are the victims of this wrongdoing," said Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Illinois.
