Changing the world - one letter to the editor at a time
The left coaster tells how he has been writing about a letter a month to the Sacramento Bee, mainly about Bush lies being ignored. Gradually he is having an effect. At least more people are joining him.
For the most part, I have written every thirty days and have been published over a dozen times in the last two and a half years. Initially, my letters were the lone anti-Bush letters in the paper on the days that they were published. Then as each month passed, I was joined by one, then two, then four more letters making the same points I was.
If you don’t think people are paying attention to the WMD deception issue, and if you think the polls accurately depict the public’s total acceptance of the “we won, all is well in Iraq and Afghanistan, who cares about WMDs” mantra from the White House, then check out these letters. I also believed these polls until today when I saw this.
The link to letters for Saturday, June 7th shows 18 anti-Bush letters and one pro-Bush. The pro-Bush is not on WMD's. Speaking as a marketing analyst there is a possibility that the newspaper was pushing the anti-Bush letters to the day with lowest circulation.
This could be a plan, write one short letter to you local newspaper each week listing a fact that clearly shows this administration lying and pursuing an agenda that most people don't want. Keep it short and factual to increase the likelihood of being published.
