Rumsfeld and the future

Rumsfeld Still Conducting Own Foreign Policy
While President Bush wants to mend fences with France over its opposition to the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld is not so forgiving.

In the latest in a series of Pentagon blasts at France, Rumsfeld has prevailed on U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. John C. Jumper not to invite his French counterpart, Gen. Richard Wolsztynski, to a prestigious September conference of air force commanders from around the world.

What do you want in a President?

I want a leader who balances the federal budget.

Who provides health coverage for all Americans.

Who will place a priority on education - providing both rhetoric and funding.

Who will protect civil liberties.

Who is strongly committed to protecting our environment.

Who is not in the pocket of corporate interests.

Who will restore trust in America to the world.

Who will appoint smart secretaries and advisors.

Who will work to improve the economy.

I don't see any GOP candidate or Green candidate I trust to do all that.
