Ohio lawmaker to propose ban on GOP adoption

If an Ohio lawmaker's proposal becomes state law, Republicans would be barred from being adoptive parents.
...."credible research" shows that adopted children raised in Republican households are more at risk for developing "emotional problems, social stigmas, inflated egos, and alarming lack of tolerance for others they deem different than themselves and an air of overconfidence to mask their insecurities."
Humorous 'ban' makes serious point
....perhaps Hagan's modest proposal gave some folks a taste, however fleeting, of what it would be like to be labeled as a class somehow incapable, unworthy or unacceptable.

Best of all, Hagan did it with a bit of sly wit. Humor, properly employed, can advance an argument far better than invective and name-calling, which make opponents dig in their heels.

We could use a little more Hagan-style creative satire.

Gay ban or GOP ban, Texas State Rep. Talton is in favor of leaving children in orphanages Texas doesn't have. This gay adoption ban for Texas was only defeated on a technicality and Talton vows to introduce it again.
