LiberalOasis believes Congress is headed toward a stalemate on immigration

I have expressed doubts that anything I could support would get out of the House-Senate conference. Nativists on the other side, including Lou Dobbs, are screaming about the bipartisan bill that passed the Senate committee that I could support as a compromise.

Added: Lou Dobbs, based on his guests is he a right-wing populist?

Yes, I believe he is a right-wing populist [whatever that is], but I like that he's taken on the issue of outsourcing american jobs. Where are the democrats on this issue? Most of them have been conspicuously silent on this, even though it would seem to be tailor-made for the democrats.

The party base is hopin' mad about outsourcing. This would be a good issue for Democrats. And a good issue to debate the GOP.
