The Mission Was Indeed Accomplished

Scoop: Bush Didn't Bungle Iraq, You Fools - Greg Palast

Greg supposedly has a copy of a state department document detailing their post-Saddam oil plans for Iraq. The big secret - the objective was to keep Iraqi oil production low and cooperate with OPEC.

"Operation Iraqi Liberation."

O.I.L. How droll of them, how cute. Then, Karl Rove made the giggling boys in the White House change it to "OIF" -- Operation Iraqi Freedom. But the 101st Airborne wasn't sent to Basra to get its hands on Iraq's OIF.

Actually the only reason Iraqi oil production is low is the Coalition that liberated Iraq from Saddam Hussein's tyranny has had to contend with terrorists trying to stifle the developing democracy.
Unfortunately the fringe minority neoliberal outlets in the controlled media spewing the same old lying liberal sayso have conveniently covered that up, unless they are cheerleading for the terrorists to destroy the fledgling democracy.
However I MUST fault President Bush for not using our technological advances in weaponry to fight the War On Terror more effectively over there.
And this is more than just cordoning off the Sunni Triangle and giving the people 36 hours to clear out then carpetbomb the place, this also involves our heatseeking missiles and unmanned drones in order to eradicate the terrorists.
A traditional ground combat has worked to some disadvantage, although the Iraqis are increasingly leading the way.
And BTW mate YES the original name WAS Operation Iraqi Freedom.
You got a problem with 26m Iraqis enjoying their newfound freedom, running to fill military and police positions, and developing a new freer society? I don't know what to tell you except Mr Hussein is long gone and is probably going to be executed.
THAT is the reality.

Figuring out the tortured prose from atomic big black stealth recon:

Repeats the obvious about insurgents hampering oil production and adds the neo-liberal media doesn't cover it and then adds they are too busy cheering the terrorists on. (Yes, no, no.)

Sugests Bush hasn't used our advanced military research and technology in killing them all enough to kill them all. (Yes)

Ask if I have a problem giving 26 million Iraqis freedom and democracy. (No)

Repeats the obvious as liberals and the neo-liberal media must be reality impaired. (No)

I skipped more instances of repeating the obvious.

I confess, we liberals and the neo-liberal media no longer focus on the kindergarden obvious reality as we debate adult stuff. Some like him haven't followed the leaks about the debate inside the administration about how to handle Iraqi oil production.

So I'll repeat for the educationally challenged that the media and liberals know that Saddam is evil and he is captured. That terrorists have greatly hampered oil production. That the US can be much more effective at killing and blowing things up real good if adults weren't considering all the consequences. That we know democracy and freedom are good which is something he is concerned about now for the Iraqis. We liberals and the reality-based media like freedom and democracy more than he does. That the debate in the administration was between those who wanted a big state controlled oil company probably tied to OPEC or those who wanted to give lots of contracts out to private oil companies. AND THAT is the reality.
