Political Analyst: Bell and Perry Co-leaders for governorship

I've been very busy and not home much the last two days. I did see this bit of a local Fox News analysis on the race that had Bell and Perry tied at 35%. My analysis on the Chronicle Texas Politics blog a few days ago had very close to a three-way tie.

We are both just shooting from our hips and polls are little use this early. Voters now just mainly focus on name recognition. Why do you think "Gene" Kelly is in a runoff? About 90% name recognition plus a dislike of foreign sounding names like Barbara Radnofsky. Add in a few protest votes against too conservative (I heard those) or too liberal positions she has taken and you have her in a run-off

Chris Bell
needs to raise money and get more publicity. Right now activist Democrats are focusing on his race as being both win able and important. If nothing else how many Texas activist Democrats get to go to the national convention depends on the number of Bell voters they can turn out in their precincts.

The best Democrat running statewide
is David Van Os for Attorney General. He has an even greater fund-Raising challenge than Bell as he has told corporations he is for the people and will be an activist Attorney General.
"Too many modern-day politicians sell out to the very evils they are supposed to protect the people against. Too many modern-day politicians protect the corporations from the people, instead of the other way around." ~David Van Os
Oops, while this is my type of Democrat this does create a problem with the money source that fuels Texas campaigns. Here are some videos for those who have not seen David Van Os in person.
