Bush Bus Tour Flip-Flop

The Kerry Campaign has criticized President Bush for changing the name of his current two-week bus tour: "What happened to the 'Winning the War on Terror' Tour?" the Kerry Campaign asked in a press release issued Monday.

The Kerry campaign noted that the Bush administration has changed the tour's name to "Yes, America Can," despite numerous press reports calling it by its earlier name.

The change "raises several questions about the Bush-Cheney campaign," the Kerry people said.

"Did President Bush have second thoughts about shamelessly exploiting the War on Terror for political gain?" the press release asked. "Has President Bush backtracked yet again?" Or -- "Did President Bush realize that his failure to address key homeland security measures continues to leave America vulnerable?"
