Kay Bailey Spokesman lies and attacks liberals in defense of her 'perjury technicality' remarks

"Senator Hutchison was not commenting on any specific investigation." But she was - she was asked about the Plame investigation and this is how she answered..

“I certainly hope that if there is going to be an indictment that says something happened, that it is an indictment on a crime and not some perjury technicality where they couldn't indict on the crime and so they go to something just to show that their two years of investigation was not a waste of time and taxpayer dollars,”

Regarding another investigation involving a Democrat she said:

“I very much worry that with the evidence that we have seen that grand juries across America are going to start asking questions about what is obstruction of justice, what is perjury. And I don't want there to be any lessening of the standard. Because our system of criminal justice depends on people telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.”

Spokesman Chris Paulitz blamed liberal groups for the attacks. Lets see, saying when Republicans commit perjury it is a technicality but when Democrats do it is an attack on the moral fabric of our nation and undermines democracy and the rule of law, pointing out this is what she has said is an attack by us mean nasty liberals.

Kay Bailey also invoked the Martha Stewert defense. Only convicted on technicalities by a prosecutor who saw that she lied.
