John Kerry: McCain asked to be my VP

McCain shows how a candidate's campaign can fall apart with pieces flying everywhere more spectacularly than Howard Dean's. Unlike with Howard Dean, the media and insiders don't seem to be actively bringing McCain down. They are just not providing cover as the wheels come off the "straight talk express" and the engine explodes. Will the media and the right wing noise machine provide cover and turn this against Kerry?
