P.O.V. - Waging a Living - on PBS

The term "working poor" should not apply in America. If you are working hard for your family why should you be poor? This P.O.V. film follows four working poor families for three years Tuesday Night. (Often they repeat P.O.V. later in the week in the early morning - this show does not get that.)

"Like most Americans, I grew up with the idea that hard work invariably leads to success. I bought into this mythology for a long time, until...I met lots of folks for whom this American dream was exactly that, just a dream. It could not be realized." —Roger Weisberg
