Bush: "I am above the law and can do what I damn well please"
Why doesn't he just issue that as his new blanket signing statement? Instead here he is rewriting the laws and doing the same thing. Interesting, this signing statement even asserts his ability to edit and censor independent reports documenting how good a job the administration is doing, why Congress made it an independent report, and it asserts his ability to disregard qualifications when appointing people to office. He has been doing that all along.
