GOP Cronyism Rides Again

The $5 billion national education program to promote reading is using untested, unevaluated material from GOP donors that it has made multi-millionaires.
"They kept denying it, but everybody knew the department had a list," said Jady Johnson, director of the Reading Recovery Council of North America. "They're forcing schools to spend millions on ineffective programs."
The Education Inspector General is looking into the rigged bids and conflicts of interest and cronyism. Local boy Rod Paige appears to have landed one of those well-paid lobbyist consulting jobs with a chief offender.
