Pearland Political Advertisements Praise Candidate

Neglects to point out that she is dead. Good ol' Texas politics.
A slick new campaign mailer shows a smiling state Rep. Glenda Dawson meeting with Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison. It lists Dawson's achievements in education, economics and politics. What the ad doesn't say is that Dawson has been dead since September. The recorded message for the Dawson campaign headquarters says that "your message and vote are very important to us." Dawson's campaign hopes the candidate will win re-election over Democrat Anthony Dinovo of Pearland. If Dawson wins, which is likely in the heavily Republican district, Gov. Rick Perry will probably call a special election open to all in mid-December.
Dr. Dinovo [blog] has had a lot of experience with those "compassionate conservative Republicans" with his campaign. An odd sad thing for Texas is that he is the compassionate conservative and his opponent is dead but she will likely win.
