Amazing Grace

This is being praised by the right and by Christians but a closer look reveals a highly liberal film. While the anti-slavery movement was lead by Christians the film makes clear that Christians were the big supporters of slavery as well. This is something that all the Southern Republican Christians I know still deny. Michael Apted has a long progressive record in films and documentaries. I will try to check this movie out. The anti-war movement is also a Christian movement, which you wouldn't know by the vast majority of Republican Christian Southern churches.
