Coulter now going too far for most right wing nuts

Ann Coulter, fresh from implying that John Edwards is a "faggot," now has a statement on her Web site saying Edwards campaign manager David Bonior "is fronting for Arab terrorists."

Most of the right wing bloggers have now, finally, begun to denounce her over her faggot line. Will they mention a GOP presidential candidate endorsing her and her views just before she spoke?

How has this helped Ann? The mass media rewards her and gives more of America her views for her "controversial" comments. The New York Times has some controversial coverage. The media as a whole ignored this story about Coulter being the biggest draw at the convention where she was meet with thunderous approval and did not cover the remarks until the right wing blogs started attacking them.

Edwards/Kerry state the truth - that Mary Cheney is a lesbian - and all hell breaks loose.

Coulter calls Edwards a faggot.

[crickets]

Until conservatives denounce the comments.

Fox News Devoted 12 Times More Coverage To Anna Nicole Smith three weeks after her death than the Walter Reed hospital scandal.

Unclear so far on how Fox will play the Coulter scandal.

Conservative bloggers are busy trying to find hate speech by prominent liberals to balance the fact they feel they must denounce Coulter. Based on their examples they have problems with the definitions of prominent and with what is a liberal as well as with timeliness.
Yep - you can find fully half as many quotes, twice as insane, in one single column by Ann Coulter - and this one written and published while she was still the right’s darling - as in 23 years’ worth of selective quotation from every dubious “liberal” on two continents.
ADDED - Greenwald is covering this.
The fact that someone has to go digging into ten-year-old comments from low-level celebrities (or, again, anonymous blog comments) in order to establish an equivalency, when the right-wing's most popular pundits with literally millions of fans -- Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Ann Coulter, Mark Levin, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity and the rest -- spew out hate-mongering bile on virtually a daily basis, tells you all you need to know about the validity of the purported equivalency.
Somerby asks if Maureen Dowd is a cleaned-up Coulter?

Not all bloggers are denouncing Ann. Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs even puts a bit of extra frosting on the anti-gay, anti-Democrats hate speech.
As far as Coulter's out of the left field "faggot" remark goes -- it may have been a poor choice of words but further Atlas investigation reveals John Edwards campaign has a mostly gay staff and rumors about his sexuality are rife. Just for knowing.

The fact is if there is any true to these rumors, that perhaps Edwards is gay, shouldn't we know that? Shouldn't we know if this man is deceiving his wife, children, country and living a lie? Shouldn't we know if a man that represents the party that celebrates gay rights is so ashamed of it, he lives a ginormous lie?
[italics hers, as well as bold red] Regardless of your position on gay marriage, regardless of whether you celebrate or merely tolerate the gay lifestyle, we ought to know if John Edwards is a liar and a hypocrite.
Shouldn't we question if Pamela is sticking a proctoscope up her own fanny for her investigation? She repeated this remark verbatim complete with crazy attention getting fonts twice on her blog.

Ann Coulter chickened out of appearing on CNN when she heard two liberal informed bloggers were also appearing and went to Fox News instead. Pamela gives her a long lesbian kiss with tongue over her appearance there - I Love Ann Coulter. Damn, these Repug bitches are so insane nothing surprises me anymore.
