I'm not excusing Israel's war, nor its effort or strategy, but I do think we deserve better military analysis of where Israel stands, with better understanding of the conflicts of interest and analysis that cloud the judgments of the commentators.The WP's military blogger William Arkin has pretty much damned all sides on the reporting. Even more criticism is due the military pundits who show up on TV and in print. My opinion still remains that Israel cannot defeat Hezbollah and has only destroyed Lebanon and further damaged Israel's and the United State's reputation.
