Bush's religion is shaping American foreign policy to our detriment

Former White House reporter Saul Friedman writes that, for the first time in modern American history, a president’s religion is determining policies, and the press should do a better job reporting it. This marks the first time I've seen someone link all of Bush's bad policies to one cause - his religion. He also puts in a good defense of Helen Thomas from the crap the White House is throwing at her.

The link was from the Washington Post's online only Dan Froomkin, who started his recent White House Briefing blog by showcasing the contempt the White House holds the press. Dan has been criticized a number of times by the regular print Washington Post editors who are pro-administration.

Added - Froomkin has a link to the Bush backrub game.
