Bell's campaign, which has been collecting Kinky's quotes, believes the quipster's conservative viewpoints contradict those of his own strongest supporters.
An internal Bell campaign poll indicates Friedman's strongest base — a 51 percent favorable rating to 25 percent unfavorable — is among Anglo liberals, the type of people who normally would be expected to support Bell and who the Democrat desperately needs.
"He (Friedman) has stated contempt for a lot of the people who are supporting him," said Bell spokesman Jason Stanford.
Months ago, responding to a commentator's question on CNBC about how he would deal with sexual predators, Friedman replied: "Throw them in prison and throw away the key. And make them listen to a Negro talking to himself." - Clay Robison

Just because Kinky is funny doesn't mean he's liberal

Amen brother!
Kinky lost me when he said he would repeal the anti-smoking laws. I have a problem with anyone who thinks that their right to suck poison supercedes my right to not breathe their second hand smoke. He's not a Liberal, he's just another "me first!" Conservative trying to avoid the stigma of being labeled a Republican.
Why the Hell Not? Because people are more important than jokes.
He is well to the right of Perry on most issues, education and immigration being two.
