Gas Prices by County
Interesting, a very odd picture map is drawn of US gas pricing.
Meanwhile the GOP leadership, confirming their organizational skills again, calls for a gas-gauging investigation. This Chronicle story had no Democratic views. Senator Chuck Schumer called for an investigation a week ago on gas prices. There were many such Democratic calls - all unmentioned in this piece.

three of the four states with the lowest gas prices (Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming) are three of the four states where Bush still polls over 50%.
(For some odd reason, Montana -- the 4th state with relatively low gas prices -- only gives Bush a 40% approval.)
indeed, I'd not be surprised to find a high degree of correlation between states gate prices and Bush's popularity....
