Obscene Conservative Radio

On the March 31 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio program, Neal Boortz said that Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) "looks like a ghetto slut."

Boortz said that McKinney's "new hair-do" makes her look "like a ghetto slut," like "an explosion at a Brillo pad factory," like "Tina Turner peeing on an electric fence," and like "a shih tzu." McKinney is the first African-American woman elected to Congress from Georgia.
And more:
"I don't blame that cop for stopping her" because "it looked like a welfare drag queen was trying to sneak into the Longworth House Office Building."
Boortz suggested the Superdome as place to "store 11 million Hispanics just waiting to ship 'em back to Nicaragua, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico"
Only one week of some of the racist comments on one conservative talk radio show.

Last year a notable quote was:
Neal Boortz suggested that a victim of Hurricane Katrina currently housed in an Atlanta hotel consider prostitution. "If that's the only way she can take care of herself," Boortz posited, "it sure beats the hell out of sucking off the taxpayers."
He must think that if being a racist homophobe foul-mouth bigot got Michael Savage his top ratings he can be even more bigoted and foul-mouthed.
Savage routinely refers to non-white countries as "turd world nations" and charges that the U.S. "is being taken over by the freaks, the cripples, the perverts and the mental defectives."

"Turd world" immigrants are a frequent target of Savage's anger: "You open the door to them, and the next thing you know, they are defecating on your country and breeding out of control"
Despite losing his MSNBC TV show for a homophobic outburst, Savage has been nominated for 2006 Syndicated Talk Host of the Year by Radio and Records Magazine. Talkers Magazine has recently named The Michael Savage Show as the third most popular talk show in national syndication. It is number one in some markets and some time slots. Neal Boortz is number seven and wants to move up.

Now why was it someone was telling me that liberals were lowering the standards of civil discourse in this country? (BTW - All of the new talk radio shows appearing on the national rankings are liberal.)
