Just Elected GOP Senator has leukemia

Wyoming Sen. Craig Thomas, hospitalized since Monday with pneumonia, has been diagnosed with a form of leukemia. They are putting an optimistic spin on it but at his age a standard article says "the possibility of long-term disease free survival is 20 percent in those achieving remission or less than 10 percent overall".
