'I am not a politician but I am a kook'

Republican candidate for Lampson's congressional seat vows to eat only military MREs until primary day.
Brian "I-Am-Not-A-Politician" Klock, a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Texas's 22nd District, announced today that he will show solidarity with American Forces fighting the Global War on Terror by lunching exclusively on MRE (Meals, Ready to Eat) rations through the March 4 primary election.

A Commander in the U.S. Navy reserve, Klock will officially announce his candidacy, outline his principal campaign themes and answer questions from the press on Thursday, January 10th, at 11:00am at the Doubletree Guest Suites -- Galleria, 5353 Westheimer and again on Friday, January 11th, at 11:00am at the American Legion Post -- Ellington Field, 11702 Old Galveston Rd.
There are ten Republican candidates in this race and no one has heard of Klock.

Rep. Nick Lampson is a strong supporter of veterans, even those who vow to fight the global war on terrorism by eating MREs. Nick Lampson also supports improving veterans mental health benefits.
