I know you're going to hate me, but I was disappointed by the film. Great imaginary world, but the political aspects were overdone and cliched.
Also, writer Annalee Newitz gave away way too many plot details. After looking over it, I seriously doubt you will find anything interesting about watching the film itself. In fact, reading the Newitz essay makes the film sound more skillfully made than it actually was.
The premise of the film was interesting, and so were the special effects; the plot and the dialogue seemed (to me at least) second rate.

Why would I hate you? Mileages vary. I was surprised at how much frequent movie goer Janette liked it.
